The Girl's Varsity and Junior Varsity Cross Country teams rocked the Harnett Invititational in Blackstone yesterday bringing home a 1st place trophy for the 4th consecutive year. This particular invitational always brings out some of the most competitive runners in Central Mass and this year was particularly top heavy with many great runners. Sophie R. finished in 2nd place overall, first for our team, followed by the rest of the varsity team in 4th Kathleen M., 7th place Alyssa B., 8th place Jordan K., 9th place Sophia E. 11th place Anna H. All earned medals for their performance. Carter M. finished in 1st place but had to work hard the last 100 meters in an all-out sprint to the finish against a Miscoe runner. Carter's time was the fastest time overall at the Invitational. Rookie Ethan F. had a great race against tough competition finishing in 14th place also earning a medal. The JV races offered great competition as well, Allison P., Phoebe and Kaylee F. led the race the entire way. Runners competing in the Massachusetts State Meet on November 7 will continue to practice for the next two weeks. The Cross Country Banquet will be held tomorrow in Coach Cutone's room from 2-3. Fantastic season, runners; job well-done! We're all proud of your hard work, determination and perseverance!

Quidditch will meet in Mrs. Buckley's room before heading outside this afternoon.
