The Magazine drive had a great first half of sales. We are now offering a second half prize day - Spin the Money Wheel - sell 4 or more items online between last Thursday and midnight Monday, November 9th and you qualify to spin the prize wheel for cash prizes during lunch next Friday. First half orders do not qualify for this prize. The Pig Race is coming! Homerooms with participation of 25% or more will qualify to be part of the Annual Pig Races on Monday 11/16. Check the bulletin board outside of the gym to see if your homeroom is close to 25% participation. The Garfield mascot travelled to the highest participation homerooms by grade yesterday. Orders and cash donations of any size count towards your homeroom’s total. 6th - Mr. Cotter 23% 7th - Mr. Perry 24% 8th - Ms. Fares 8.3%
Reminder to writers, artists, and photographers. The Middle Ground literary magazine meets on the first and third Thursdays each month. All interested students are welcome to Room 228 TODAY after school for a work session to create stories, columns, poems, essays, and comic strips. Lunch News! All Grades! If you haven’t noticed yet, there is a box in the cafeteria, next to the cashier. Team 3 in sixth grade is using this box to collect sealed snacks that have not been touched by human hands, for the food pantry.If you are not going to eat everything in your lunch please don't throw it away. Come join the Math Club November 10th to work on fun, challenging, and creative math problems with your friends in a relaxed but stimulating environment. Be coached by the High School Math Team advisor as we train a team of our best mathletes to compete head-to-head against neighboring Metro West middle schools in the annual MATHCOUNTS competition in February. Make friends. Work your brain. All grades welcome.
