MCAS Schedule

Just a reminder that the MCAS Math(Gr 6-8) and Science(Gr 8 only) testing sessions will soon be upon us.  Please refer to the MCAS Schedule for all dates for students in grades 6-8.

Middle School Recommendations for 2018-2019 School Year

Just a reminder that recommendations for students in grades 6 and 7 for the following school year placements were due by April 13. If you have not done so already, please return the form as soon as possible. As outlined in the letter, please be sure to contact the appropriate teachers and/or Curriculum Coordinators should you have any questions.  

Holliston Junior Police Academy 2018

The Holliston Police Department will again be holding a Junior Police Academy for 6th, 7th and 8th graders; this summer experience is available to Holliston residents only and is FREE.  This summer experience runs from 9am-3pm and will include team building games and will introduce children to law enforcement and teach them how to be responsible members of the community.  The acceptance process will be on a first time, first come, first serve basis, with the maximum number of 20 students. We will accept up to 25 registrations; 5 will be placed on a waiting list.

Registration forms are linked here and are also available at the Holliston Police Department and on  Registration begins today and forms must be turned in by May 14th to the Holliston Police Department.

YMCA Programs

Looking for something unique and exciting for your teen to take part in. Please see information below regarding programs that are run through our local YMCA.

Open Gym Fridays

Grades 6th-8th

Fridays, 3-6pm, April 6th, May 4th, and June 1st

Fridays @ the Y! Come join us at the MetroWest Family Outdoor Center for a few hours of fun, supervised, recreational programing! Middle school students have the ability to participate in sports, arts & crafts, camp games, board games, healthy snacks, and much more!  If you would like to send your teen to one of our Open Gym days please fill out our JotForm to confirm your teen’s attendance. Walk-Ins are accepted and payment can be accepted the day of!



Grades 6th-8th

Thursdays, 2-6pm, April 26th – June 14th

Leap into the MetroWest Family Outdoor Center’s Leadership, Education, & Adventure Program! This session we will use low ropes elements to undergo team building challenges and problem solving initiatives to emphasize leadership competencies. We will celebrate with a high ropes element on the last day of the session. Teens will also be provided homework help and a healthy snack upon arrival. Transportation is provided for Hopkinton, Ashland, and Holliston students.


April Vacation Teen Trips

Grades 6th-8th

April 17th & April 19th, 9am-4pm

Come join the Family Outdoor Center on some adventurous field trips during April vacation! We will be traveling to Boda Borg in Malden, MA on 4/17 and Launch Trampoline Park in Norwood, MA on 4/19.
