RAMS News April 4, 2016

MCAS Spring 2016 Schedule (ELA Monday, Wednesday, Thursday)

This will mean that there will be three days of testing for ELA; Session 1 (April 4), Session 2A (April 6), and Session 2A (April 7).  New this year is Session 2B, which will be the Narrative Writing Section of PARCC.  The reason for the adjustment is that we cannot reliably predict how long it will take students to complete Session 2A, which has to be completed before starting 2B.

Updated MCAS Spring 2016 Schedule

Nature’s Classroom - GRADE 6

Nature’s Classroom departure day is the Monday after April vacation.  As a reminder to parents, MEDICATION FORMS may be sent in earlier than the April 8th due date (everyone must send one in signed whether or not there are any medications) as individual student packets are being assembled for departure day.  Thank you!

Virtual Coffee Talk (Social and Emotional Learning with Counselors)

Feedback about the Virtual Coffee Talks has been very positive.  So much so that Mr. Botelho and Mr. Jordan will be hosting the third on May 4th.  In this edition, the Robert Adams Middle School Guidance Department will be present to discuss and answer questions on Social and Emotional Learning at Adams.

Save the date!!  The virtual coffee talk will be held the evening of May 4, 2016 from 6:30-7:30 PM.

The link to the virtual coffee talk will be posted in the May 1st RAMS News.  Additionally, a form will go out to parents to gather information on possible topics or starter questions to begin the conversation that evening.

If you are new to the Virtual Coffee Talk, it is a live interactive streaming podcast where parents can get answers to questions that they may have.  Feel free view the past two Virtual Coffee Talks.
