Laps-at-Lunch- Parent Volunteers Needed!!

Our Laps-at-Lunch initiative has been a huge success!  Students are loving the opportunity to go outside and walk during lunch.

In order to continue with this initiative, we are in serious need of parent volunteers.  If you have any availability between 11:00-12:30 Monday-Friday, please email David Jordan at  To volunteer, parents will need a CORI on file, which can be filled out in the RAMS front office.

Virtual Parent Coffee Talk- Dec 8th

Our next virtual coffee talk will be on December 8th at 6:00 PM.

For those that are new to virtual coffee talks, Dr. Botelho and Mr. Jordan host a podcast where parents can watch, listen, and post questions live about a variety of topics at Robert Adams Middle School in an effort to expand the school’s ability to communicate in alternative ways with parents.  Please use the link to submit questions before the airing of the podcast and during the podcast.  You may submit questions on any area that you are seeking additional feedback on.

At the conclusion of the broadcast, the video will be posted on the school website so that parents that were unable to view the live broadcast can view it on their own time.

Relay for Life Winter White Out All School Dance

There will be an all-school dance on December 2nd from 6:30-9:00 PM in the RAMS Gym and Cafeteria. The theme this year is Winter White out, so the attire is casual, just wear all white.  Ticket sales will be sold during lunches Tuesday - Friday (11/29 - 12/2).  Tickets will NOT be available at the door.

The dance is a Relay for Life Dance, so all proceeds made from ticket sales are donated to the Relay for Life Foundation.  Along with that fundraiser, we ask students to bring a food pantry item to be entered in a raffle to win a gift card.

The procedure for picking students up after the dance is as follows:

  • Parents can line up outside of the gym door nearest to the front office

  • Students will be seated in the gym

  • Parents will enter into the gym and exit with their student out of the doors nearest the cafeteria.  Please do not exit through the door that you entered.

Parent Ed: 10 Must-Try Strategies for Parents of Anxious Kids

This presentation focuses on practical strategies you can use in the moment to help you feel empowered as a parent. The workshop will also help you gain insights into why your child is experiencing chronic worry. While the presentation is primarily geared toward parents of elementary school students, some recommendations may be generalized to middle and high schoolers.  For more details go to the event flyer.
