Resources for Families

Given the challenging times, we need to recognize that middle school aged students may be experiencing an increase in emotional distress, isolation, and fear.  Our RAMS Support staff has put together an important resource page to help navigate difficult conversations and contacts for counseling supports should you need them.  As we head into December Break, we feel it is ever more important to acknowledge families may need this added assistance.

Tips & Resources for Student Stress

Grade 8 Wellness

Just a reminder that all grade 8 students will need a jump rope and juggling balls for Wellness. If you are having difficulty getting this please reach out to your Wellness teacher.

Term 1 Report Cards

Families will receive Term 1 Report Cards through Brightarrow email after 3:30 pm on Friday, December 18.

School Picture Retakes

We have completed our retakes for all fully remote and cohort A students.  Due to impending weather, we will be rescheduling our retakes for Cohort B from December 17 to January 7  Any students who wish to participate on January 7, should bring their photo packet. Fort those who have not picked up their pictures please feel free to stop by the school between 8:30-2:30.

Term 2 Reminders

Just a reminder that we shifted to Term 2 on Monday, December 14.

Unified Arts will shift at the start of Term 2 to the following:

Grade 6: Music

Grade 7: Art & Computer Science

Grade 8: Wellness

Additionally, students will now experience an increase in World Language synchronous times for Term 2. Be sure that your child pays close attention to these minor schedule adjustments and if they see a place on their schedule where they are double-booked for a World Language and a Unified ARTS, they should attend World Language on that day.

State Flu Shot Regulations 20-21

Per new state regulations all students are required to receive the Influenza Vaccine by December 31, 2020.

If you have not done so already, please provide documentation of immunization to the nurses as soon as possible.  Thank you for your attention to this very important matter.

Symptomatic Child Reminder

If your child is experiencing cold symptoms, please keep them home and contact your pediatrician for advice regarding COVID testing.  Please don’t send them to school assuming it is just a cold. Many people who test positive for COVID-19 only experience mild symptoms and we want to continue to prevent the spread of illness in our schools.  Also,If your child is being tested please let the nursing office know.
