Semester Change & Term 2 Progress Reports

Just a reminder to all students and families, that the mid-year semester change for TechEd and Art ONLY occurred on Tuesday, January 15. All students who began the year in Art have now switched to TechEd and vice versa.

Additionally, as we approach the halfway point for Term 2 we encourage you, along with your child to review their grades and assignments in PowerSchool.  Teachers have been instructed to make sure that all grades from the first half of the term are to be updated by Thursday, January 24 so that parents have an accurate image of their student’s performance in the first half of Term 2.

Screening: Beyond Measure

This screening will be held on Tuesday, February 5th at 7 pm at the Adams Middle School Auditorium.

This documentary looks at innovative schools on the cutting-edge of education reform and explores how to transcend outmoded, test-driven education policies and create more equitable, empowering student-centered schools. The movie sets out to challenge the assumptions of our current education story. Rather than ask why our students fail to measure up, this film asks us all to reconsider the greater purpose of education. What if our education system valued personal growth over test scores? Put inquiry over mimicry? Encouraged passion over rankings? What if we decided that the purpose of the school was not the transmission of facts or formulas, but the transformation of every student? And what if this paradigm-shift was driven not by politicians but by students, parents, and teachers? Don’t miss this opportunity to see the transformation of key roles in education, and how critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity are fundamental to the success of our students. This event is sponsored by Mindshare, the Parent Education Program from Holliston PTO. For more information, please contact Anne Buckley at

Screening: Girl Rising

This screening will be held on Thursday, March 7th at 7 pm there will be a FREE screening of Girl Rising at Robert Adams School, Auditorium

Girl Rising is celebrating its fifth anniversary with a revised documentary that spotlights the unforgettable stories of nine incredible girls living in the developing world, striving beyond circumstance and overcoming nearly insurmountable odds to achieve their dreams. Their lives have been affected by the absolute power of education - or lack thereof. This movie adds fuel to the growing movement of individuals, communities, and governments working to shift the way girls and girls' education are valued. It will inspire girls to create a different future, bringing people together in a shared mission.  This event is sponsored by Mindshare, the Parent Education Program from Holliston PTO. Laps-at-Lunch- Parent Volunteers Needed!!

Our Laps-at-Lunch initiative has been a huge success!  Students are loving the opportunity to go outside when weather permits or walk in the gym during the cold winter months. In order to continue with this initiative, we are in serious need of parent volunteers.  If you have any availability between 11:00-12:30 Monday-Friday please consider signing up using the link below. To volunteer, parents will need a CORI on file, which can be filled out in the RAMS front office.
