Please click here to view the Spring 2016 MCAS Schedule for Robert Adams Middle School.  There were some late changes to the testing format from the Department of Education that delayed the release of the schedule.  These changes are as listed:

  • There will not be a 7th grade Long Composition assessment

  • There will be a PARCC-like Narrative Writing section within the 6th, 7th, and 8th ELA Session 2.

  • PARCC-based questions will be integrated throughout Session 1 and Session 2 of the Math MCAS for 6th, 7th, and 8th.

Holliston High School Shadowing Program

The Holliston High School Shadowing Program is scheduled for the morning of February 10th.  This program is intended to give students who may have transition anxiety, or are considering attending a private school or technical school, a preview of Holliston High School. Students who are interested in the program are invited to spend a morning and shadow a high school student through his/her classes.

Eighth grade students who participate are asked to arrive directly to the high school main lobby at 7:25am. There they are paired with a high school student to attend two of their classes and the Designated Study Block (DSB). Transportation will not be provided for those students participating in the program. Students would need to be dropped off at the high school at 7:25 am and picked up at 11:00 am to be brought to the middle school to conclude the rest of their

If your student is interested or you have questions about the program, please contact Mr. Powers at  This is a prearranged event.  Please make sure your student has confirmed with Mr. Powers that he/she will be attending the Shadowing Day before arrival on February 10th so that he can arrange for an HHS student to shadow.

Nature’s Classroom

Nature’s Classroom is fast approaching for our 6th graders.  We are all looking forward to this wonderful experience.  Thank you to all the parents that indicated they were interested in chaperoning for the week.  The school will be in contact with those parents in the very near future to inform you whether or not you will be needed.

As a reminder to 6th grade parents, if you were unable to turn in the second payment for the balance $220 by the January 8th due date, please do so as soon as possible.

iPass/iParent Portal

In our effort to improve communication and information on student progress, we are pleased to announce that we opened the iPass iParent Portal for RAMS parents and guardians and their children at the end of the first term in December.  The iParent Portal is an important part of iPass, the Student Information System used by the Holliston Public Schools, that will allow you and your child to access your child’s schedule, attendance and grades.

If you haven’t already done so, please click on the following link and follow the instructions on how to register for iParent.  If you already have an account at the high school, you will not need to register again and will gain access to your student’s information when the middle school portal is opened at the end of the term.

Please click here for instructions.

Holliston Plaza- Students on Fridays

Parents, please be aware that there have been some complaints from the tenants of the Holliston Plaza due to student disturbances on Fridays.  The greatest concern has been around the number of students in the parking lot with cars trying to drive through and littering.  Please engage your student in a conversation about respecting public and private property, cleaning up after oneself, and making safe decisions.
