Progress Reports- Term 3

It is the midterm point for term 3.  Teachers have updated their grades to reflect your students progress to this point in the term.  This is a reminder to go into iParent to view your student’s progress report.  Paper copies of progress reports will be sent home today with students whose parents do not have access to iParent.


8th Grade Slideshow

We are going to continue the tradition of an end of year 8th grade slideshow. This photo montage will feature pictures of your sons and daughters as they have grown up and gone to school in Holliston and are soon ready to move on to high school. It will be shown to 8th grade students in the auditorium one of the last days of school. In addition, we will make this video available to parents who wish to watch it at home and save it as a keepsake.


In order to create the best slideshow ever, we need your help with collecting pictures. We are asking that you submit the following in the next three weeks if possible:

1. A baby picture of your son/daughter

2. A picture from the toddler or pre-school years (with or without Holliston friends)

3. Any photos of your son/daughter with other 8th grade friends (the more the better)


These pictures can be submitted in two different ways:

  • E-mail (preferred): you can e-mail your pictures to grade8pictures@holliston.k12.ma.us - Just be sure to include your child’s name in the message

  • USB drive: You or your child can drop a flash drive at the office to be put in my mailbox or dropped off at the RAMS library. Be sure to label the drive with your child’s name so the drive can be returned.

***These pictures will be shown in HD and should be at least 1 MB. Small images will be blurry and cannot be used.***

***Only digital pictures will be accepted***

8th Grade Community Service Day (NEED VOLUNTEERS AND EQUIPMENT)

The 8th Grade Community Service Day is scheduled for Thursday, May 26th (rain date Wednesday, June 1th).  We are seeking volunteers to assist our homeroom teachers to help coordinate the efforts of the kids that day. Assistance will be needed from 9:00am to 1:00pm, and your role would be to help coordinate materials needed for the day, monitor the students’ efforts at their job site, and to help the kids serve their "senior" partners during our Cook-Out Luncheon held back at RAMS in the afternoon.  If you would consider volunteering on Community Service Day, or know of another parent who might be available, we would greatly appreciate it!  Please contact your child’s homeroom teacher.


Additionally, we are in desperate need of wheel barrows, work gloves, rakes, and shovels.
