First Virtual Parent Coffee Talk

Mr. Jordan and Mrs. Beattie will be hosting the first virtual parent coffee talk of the year on Wednesday November 1 from 5:00-5:30 PM.  For those of you that are new to Adams, Mr. Jordan and Mrs. Beattie will host a podcast in an effort to expand the school’s ability to communicate in alternative ways with parents.  For 2017-2018, there will be several podcasts that will run for approximately 20-30 minutes at a time. On the side of the screen, there will be an area for parents to post live questions to the hosts or guests that they will answer in the order that they come in.

Our first Virtual Parent Coffee Talk this year will be focusing on the topic of our newly implemented Advisory Program. We will use this time to provide you information on the program and answer questions that you might have regarding our Middle School Advisory. You will be provided with a link to submit questions before the airing of the podcast and during the podcast.  You may submit questions on any area that you are seeking additional feedback on.

At the conclusion of the broadcast, the video will be posted on the school website so that parents that were unable to view the live broadcast can view it on their own time.

On Monday, October 16th from 6-7 pm in the RAMS Auditorium Mrs. Conahan, Mrs. Ditto-Kustwan, Mrs. Burns and Mrs. Beattie will be hosting an informational night for 6th grade parents to discuss the Spring Nature’s Classroom trip.  It is highly encouraged that all 6th grade parents attend.  At the event, 6th grade staff will discuss what a typical day looks like at Nature’s Classroom, review all of the necessary school forms for participation, cost, housing arrangements, and behavioral expectations.

Fall One Acts

Don’t miss the fantastically talented Adams Middle School ReAct Players in the annual Fall One Acts! The “One Acts” is a show comprised of 2 separate one-act plays.  See the amazing performers take you on 2 journeys of inspirational hope, hilarious comedy and pure fun.  This year’s plays are Making Nice by Alan Haehnel. This is a funny and inspiring story about an acting troop as they tirelessly work to perfect their performance under the command of their tyrannical director. The Actor Games by Wade Bradford.  This Hunger Games parody is a hilarious and entertaining view of a society that has become obsessed with anything drama and stage related.

Friday November 3rd @ 7pm and Saturday November 4th @ 7pm at the Robert Adams Middle School Auditorium.Ticket price $8 and are available for purchase at the RAMS cafeteria the week prior to the show or at Coffee Haven and Kamala Boutique beginning Oct. 23rd. Don’t miss this event, it's sure to be a blast.

Johns Hopkins Informational Night

There will be an informational night on Tuesday, November 14 from 6:30-7:30 PM in the RAMS auditorium for those interested in having their 7th grade student participate in the Johns Hopkins SAT preparation program.  More information to follow soon.
