If you have not already, please return the signed Loan Agreement with a $40 check for the optional insurance (if desired) to the Adams Middle School office or homeroom teacher tomorrow, Wednesday, September, 2.

We have been processing forms as they come in but need all forms in order to distribute the Chromebooks to students this week.   We encourage families to review the Chromebook Care and Use Guide and the HPS Technology Acceptable Use Policy before signing the loan agreement.

We encourage parents of 7th and 8th graders to use the Linden Street Loop.  Today, on the first day of school, the main 6th grade loop was quite congested, however, the Linden Street Loop was very light. We strongly encourage 7th and 8th grade parents to pull down Linden Street and drop off in the Linden Street Loop to provide those students quicker access to their homerooms while alleviating traffic on Woodland Street.

When using the Linden Street Loop, parents should drop off students in the loop and otherwise should not park, stop or drop-off on Linden Street itself in order to ensure that students are dropped off safely and buses can proceed from the bus exit without interference.

The after school rehearsal schedule for Band and Chorus are as follows:

Grade 7 & 8 Band Monday

Jazz Ensemble Monday

Grade 6 Chorus Tuesday

Grade 7 & Chorus Wednesday

Grade 6 Band Thursday

Jazz Lab         Thursday

Rehearsals will begin on Tuesday, September 15

The schedule of the remainder of after school clubs is being finalized and will be distributed and posted, too.

Welcome Letters and Schedules

Robert Adams Middle School Welcome Letters and schedules were mailed out on Thursday, August 13 and should have been received.  We recognize that some parents, with siblings at HHS, may have had access to homeroom and team information through iParent before letters were received in the mail.  We apologize for the confusion associated with this.  After this year, iParent will be open to all middle school parents, thus eliminating this as a future concern.

Open Building Presentation Recap

Mr. Botelho and Mr. Jordan held open building presentations on August 26th for the parents of 6th grade students and parents of 7th and 8th graders that are new to Robert Adams Middle School.

During the course of the presentation, parents learned about many of the processes and procedures at Adams.  Additionally, future students will joined student tours guides from the Leadership Team to tour the building.  The presentation had information that most parents would find useful, regardless of whether they are new to Adams or not.  To view the presentations, click on the following links.

Athletics:  Fall Interscholastic Sports

We are looking forward to the start of the 2015-16 Adams Interscholastic Athletic Program.  Fall sports for 2015 will include Cross-Country, Field Hockey and Volleyball.  Registration opened on Wednesday, August 12th, 2014 and will remain open until team rosters have reached their pre-established limits.  Preference will be given to 7th and 8th grade athletes for Volleyball.  Enrollment/acceptance into the program is made available on a first come/first serve basis once online registration has been completed AND all Enrollment/Acceptance Required Documents  (please see below) have been submitted and certified by the athletic department and school nurse.

As of 9/1/15, the Volleyball and Field Hockey teams are fully rostered and we are currently only accepting registration for Cross-Country.

To access all of the required documents and to enroll online, click here to access the full email that was sent out to parents last week.
