AttendanceUpdate

User uploaded image

We are writing to share our continued efforts to improve the way we monitor and support student attendance in the Holliston Public Schools.

One of the ways we will be monitoring attendance is through a monthly attendance update that will be sent to ALL families notifying them of their student's total absences. Be on the lookout for a bright arrow communication with your student's attendance information! This should have arrived in your inbox on Wednesday, October 1.

Inevitably there are times when families would like to consult with our RAMS Student/Family Handbook. Feel free to click the link below to access the handbook, or visit the RAMS webpage for access.

SchoolHours---8:25am-3:03pm

Student arrival should not occur before 8:15 a.m. At that time, students may enter the building, go to their lockers, visit the cafeteria for breakfast if they choose, and report to homeroom. The warning bell rings at 8:23 a.m., and homeroom begins promptly at 8:25 a.m.

Students who are dropped off earlier than 8:15 should report to the front of the building. During inclement weather (cold, rain, or snow), students may wait at the front of the building until the 8:15 bell rings. Please note that supervision and access to the building begin at 8:15 a.m., in alignment with the start of the school day.

At dismissal, students may go to their lockers to gather their belongings before departing. Students may not remain in the building after school unless they are participating in a supervised activity, receiving extra help, or serving detention.

The final bell may ring at 3:03 p.m., but that doesn’t mean the day has to end. Students are invited to join Homework Club on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 3:03 - 4:03 p.m. It’s the perfect opportunity to get extra academic support, stay on top of assignments, or simply enjoy a productive hour with peers. Best of all, it is always staffed with a RAMS teacher and late buses are available, making it easy for everyone to take advantage of this helpful and welcoming program.
